Party City

If I could give zero stars, I would. The worst customer service experience I’ve ever had. No wonder the reviews are so bad. My biggest mistake was going to the Whitby location — I always go to the Ajax Party City and have never had issues there. I purchased balloons on the 27th in the morning and noticed right away that one was leaking air and clearly defective. I called immediately and was told to bring both balloons back for a refund. My husband drove 15 minutes out of the way to return them, only for the staff in-store to completely change their story and refuse the refund. It was embarrassing and incredibly frustrating. The worst part is that after they told me over the phone they would take them back, I told my sister to go ahead and purchase the same balloons from her city because I trusted what they said. Now I’m stuck with unused balloons sitting in my house and wasted $36. Since then, I’ve tried calling multiple times and they refuse to call me back or connect me with a supervisor. Absolutely unacceptable customer service. I will never shop at this location again

I bought these balloons on the 18th of Aug and not even 2 days later this is what they looked like. Although the 9 was fine the other balloons had deflated. For over $35 I would expect my balloons to last more than 2 days!

Paid $42 after tax for this tragic Mickey Mouse balloon arrangement. 3 of the balloons were confetti filled but didn’t at all look as advertised. The confetti was bunched up and even leaking a yellow liquid inside. One red balloons popped as soon as I got home. Called the store and the sales associate had no customer resolution skills whatsoever. Spoke to the manager who agreed to refund 3 confetti balloons and I let her know I’d return the next day for the refund. Came to the store the next day and 3 associates at cash looked at me confused when I told them about the refund. They said only males were working the day before so they don’t know which female would tell me I’d get a refund. Finally one of them called the manager who explained the situation to them. There should be some type of quality check done on balloon arrangements before giving them to customers, especially customers who are rushing the day of an event. Also managers should communicate refunds/complaints to their staff so the customer isn’t repeating themselves to clueless employees. You’re better off getting helium filled balloons from dollar tree.

Good store to go to. Great selection continuously being updated. The store is kept clean and tidy. Employees are polite and helpful. Well organized, everything is easy to find and well stocked. Would not hesitate to return here for our party supply needs.

Missing Item - Expected Everything to Be Included! I recently purchased a costume from Party City #0833, and when I got home, I realized the top hat was missing from the package. It’s frustrating because you expect the package to contain everything listed, and it’s disappointing to find out that’s not the case once you're already home. I strongly recommend that anyone buying from here double-check their package before leaving the store to avoid the hassle. Save yourself the frustration and check everything before you leave!
