Trapped Escape Rooms & Board Games Toronto

It was AWESOME! Devam and Freya were amazing game masters. Me and my bff had the best time at Lost & Found room, perfect for 2 people!!

We had my son's birthday party at trapped yesterday. After reading all the reviews I see that the likeliest response will be that you don't see a booking under my name. My wife booked it. I'm not putting her name but we started at 5:15 and 5:30pm in 2 separate rooms. When we arrived staff was friendly I noted it was very warm and the thermostat read 24.5. It was beautiful outside and frankly, even in winter that would be a very warm temp. I asked if it could be a little less warm but was told "management" controls it and she can't change it. Ummm ok? I had brought cupcakes that I had ordered and just picked up and they were beautiful when I arrived. I asked if they could keep them until we had dessert an hour or so later. She said no problem. They were secure in a plastic clamshell container. We went to do the escape rooms which were fine, albeit impossible but that's no big deal. My understanding was that we'd have the lobby area to ourselves following the room. That is not the case at all and is quite misleading. Another group of at least 14 people were there when we came out so we only had half that room and not enough chairs until that group went into their room at which point we took some. It was at that point that my wife realized she had recieved an email that the birthday boy would be free but we were initially charged for everyone. After a conversation about this with the front desk and they made a phone call to "management" we were told that this only applies if you play within 2 days before or after your birthday which my wife acknowledged when she found the original email. As a side note, if you offer this then don't have a ridiculous stipulation like that. Basically if Trapped is booked up two days before or after the birthday the customer can't take advantage of that offer, then it's really not an offer at all. It's a crapshoot that I'm guessing almost nobody can take advantage of. We didn't argue about it and they gave us a few free Kirkland waters that literally cost about .12 cents. Fine. No problem. Then I asked for my cupcakes. They were half destroyed. I honestly couldn't believe it. You had to put them on a table and not touch them for an hour and this ended up being too much. Somehow in that time, someone clearly dropped them or they melted from the ridiculous warm temp. I can't be sure but they were perfect when I arrived and in the pic you can see how I received them. I asked and the staff shrugged and said they didn't know what happened. The place itself is fine. The staff were friendly but honestly, "management" should learn more about hospitality.

We tried the Happy Nights Inn Room at the Trapped Midtown Location and the room was well designed. We were 8 people and it was a lot of fun. Devang was a very good host. He explained us the rules very well and was always available to help us out when needed. In the end, he explained us the unsolved parts very well. We will definitely visit the location again and try the other rooms. The one hour boardgame time after the room is also appreciated and it was a lot of fun.

Just finished one of the escape rooms… have to say it was so much fun and would definitely come again. Lots of fun interacting in the rooms. Freya was very helpful and helped up us with understand how to navigate the room. Very fun for game night , date or even just to hang out with friends !!

Wow. Breathtaking. Great staff, nice spot, a night I’ll never forget. Finished the hospital room in record time no clues at all given ;). Thanks to the great team of staff Ashley Alex, Clara, Salma. You guys are awesome
