The Willow Play Cafe

We love the Willow and have been coming since our little one was 6mos. It’s really been such a lovely place to spend time during my mat leave. Christina, the owner, has worked so hard to create this cozy place for families to enjoy. She pays attention to all the details, and you can tell this is a labour of love. I’ve arranged for play dates here and have also met new friends! Christina has a great team (Liana, Victoria, Alexa, and Hilary) who try their best to take care of their guests. We are the point where little one whines when we have to leave ☺️

The Willow Play Café is incredible. The coffee is excellent, the treats are delicious, and their butter tart is honestly the best I’ve had in Toronto. The staff are warm, friendly, and genuinely welcoming. They make you feel completely at ease — you can sit with a baby-proof tumbler of coffee and actually relax while your little one explores. The café and play space are spotless and thoughtfully designed. The play area has so much to offer for babies through to older kids: soft padded floors, beautiful wooden toys, engaging sensory activities, and a fun climbing section with a little hideaway. My little one was obsessed with climbing the tower and sliding down the slide, and I could actually enjoy a coffee and have a real conversation with my mom group knowing the babies were safe and entertained. This is the café that outshines all others. If you want a place to meet your mom friends — or honestly any friends — this is where you want to be. Highly recommend.

An amazing place for children to learn, play and discover. The owner and staff are all so warm and welcoming. The design of the whole venue is gorgeous, with careful consideration not only to the play area for children (which is abundant, exciting and yet somehow calming too), but also to the area in which parents interact (lighting, colours, design elements like chairs and doorhandles). The cafe has a great offering of beverages and snacks. An absolutely wonderful addition to the neighbourhood!! Disclaimer: I rent their back space to offer children's music classes. I've also led a circle time at a birthday celebration at the Willow and it was flawless!

We recently hosted our daughter’s 3rd birthday at The Willow Play Cafe, and it was incredible! The party was an absolute blast—none of the kids wanted to leave. The space itself is beautiful, warm, and thoughtfully designed, making it perfect for both little ones and parents. The party room is especially adorable. The planning process was seamless from start to finish, which made hosting so much easier. Truly, every detail was thought of and covered. The day-of staff were amazing—organized, attentive, and kept everything running smoothly and on schedule. This is such a special venue, and we’re so grateful for the wonderful, memorable experience! The perfect gift card to give as a birthday present! We gave a Willow cafe gift card and play date to my daughter’s friend and just had our first play experience together. It was truly magical - the girls 4 and 5 became the best versions of themselves - full of wonder and magic. The staff was amazing, and the food was incredible. The team clearly cares about the experience and the attention to detail was amazing. I had wrongly thought that my 4 year old would be too old for the space. No, she just focused in and was more playful/imaginative than ever. It was awesome, we will be back!
