Roselle Desserts

Absolutely outstanding patisserie. Every visit to Roselle feels like a little celebration of taste — their desserts are crafted with remarkable precision, creativity, and genuine passion. The eclairs, mille-feuille, and their signature Earl Grey soft-serve are all executed to perfection. You can sense the French training behind every detail, from textures to balance of flavors. The space is bright and inviting, the staff always kind and attentive, and everything feels thoughtfully designed. Easily one of the best dessert spots in Toronto — refined, consistent, and worth every visit.

Yesterday was freezing, but work had me in the area, and I decided to treat myself. Best decision. 🤎 I walked to my car with the biggest smile on my face, holding this unreal slice of chocolate cake, and I’m pretty sure people were wondering what was wrong with me. Full ear-to-ear joy. Zero regrets. I usually save half of my dessert for the next day… not this time. It was that good. Every layer was rich, perfectly balanced, and honestly unforgettable. I devoured the whole thing and I’m still thinking about it. If you’re anywhere near Roselle, do yourself a favour and stop in. This was hands-down one of the best chocolate cakes I’ve had, and now I can’t wait to go back and try everything else. Worth every bite. 🍫✨

My family has been patronizing Roselle for many years and I can confidently say we have yet to have a single bite that did not surprise and delight with pure deliciousness! Every year my mother asks what I want for desert around the holidays, and every year I tell her I want the mango pavlova from Roselle; it is my absolute favorite and I just can’t help eat every last bite, even when my stomach is about to burst. Another of my favorites is their caramels, so simple but so delicious! Most recently I was lucky enough to try their collab with Oishii, it was a cheesecake tart with vanilla cream and fresh berries (pictured). Let me tell you, words cannot describe how good it was, I almost felt bad for eating it so quickly, but I couldn’t help it. My only real regret is that it was a limited time collab and I won’t have another, at least not any time soon.

The earl grey soft serve was just as incredible as it looks. Every bite was perfection! I had been following them for a few years since 2020 and finally got to go and try it. I told two of the staff at the window how excited I was to finally try it in person. They kind of just looked at me and didn’t say much which was a bit awkward. Anywhoooo, great desserts!

Definitely one of the best pastry shops in Toronto. I’ve tried their Earl Grey and Strawberry Parfait, and I prefer the vanilla-based soft serve from the parfait over the Earl Grey. I’m not saying their Earl Grey isn’t good, but I would prefer a more pronounced taste of Earl Grey. That said, both soft serves come with an amazing texture, mouthfeel, and the perfect level of sweetness. I’ve also tried their Pistachio and Strawberry cake cups, both very nice. I appreciate that Rosella keeps their desserts in a well-balanced sweetness, allowing me to taste the different ingredients dancing together in the cup. They didn’t put cake in the pistachio one; instead, they used puff pastry. I am not a big fan of it, but I do think it’s a good choice, as it goes super well with their amazing pistachio cream. I find their Madeleine a bit dry, but I think I taste almond flour in it, which makes the taste less flat. I’ll definitely try other items from them in the future.
