Party City

I recently moved to the Richmond Hill area and ordered balloons for my son’s 1st birthday. The ordering and pickup process went smoothly, but unfortunately, the balloons only lasted less than two days, which was unusual. When I returned today around 10:30 am to ask for help detangling the balloons I picked up on Tuesday, the staff member was not very friendly. She repeatedly asked for my receipt, which I no longer had since I provided it at pickup. I showed proof of purchase on my credit card instead. While she did eventually help, she did so reluctantly and with a poor attitude. She mentioned the balloons were no longer floating and said she couldn’t do anything unless I paid again. She then cut the ribbons and handed them back in the bag. I also tried to return some unopened birthday supplies I didn’t end up using, but she refused, saying they were final sale. However, I checked the website afterward, and those items are in fact eligible for return. Overall, I left disappointed. I understand everyone can have a tough day, but the staff’s unfriendliness and unwillingness to be helpful made this a frustrating experience.

I had an excellent experience with this store, from the owner to the staff. They were very patient and thorough in answering all my questions. I purchased a light-up cooler but had trouble inserting the batteries. When I brought it back to the store, they carefully read the instructions, tried inserting the batteries themselves, and ultimately replaced the cooler with a new one. Their exceptional service is much appreciated!

Update, sad the balloons didn’t make it through the party. I’ve been a loyal customer at Party City Richmond Hill for years, and while my experiences have generally been positive, my recent visit truly stood out thanks to Mahrokh. She was incredibly helpful and kind while assisting me with balloon arrangements and other stuff. Her attention to detail and friendly attitude made the process so easy and enjoyable. Although the store isn’t always perfectly stocked and can sometimes be a bit messy, the staff’s great service—keeps me coming back. Thank you for helping make our celebrations special!

Been a customer for Party City for over 2 decades. Convenient location w plenty parking spaces in this plaza. Great store for all your party needs! Self serve to find your balloons. Staff was helpful!
