Activate Pickering

If you’re looking for a high-tech challenge that gets your heart racing, Activate is a must-visit. It’s a fantastic way to test your agility and brainpower with a group. The Highlights Team-Based Fun: The game structure is perfect for groups. You can be paired in twos or create a team of up to five, making it a great spot for a competitive date night or a full squad outing. Massive Game Variety: There are tons of different games to choose from. You never get bored because there’s always a new room or a higher difficulty level to tackle. Seamless Experience: I was impressed by the short wait times. We were able to jump from one challenge to the next without much downtime at all. Helpful Staff: The team here is incredibly supportive. They were quick to explain the rules and made sure we knew exactly how to use the RFID wristbands to track our progress. Things to Keep in Mind While the gameplay is top-tier, there are a few "quality of life" things to prepare for: The Heat is Real: It gets very hot inside. There aren’t any fans in the gaming areas, and since you’re constantly moving, you’ll definitely feel the temperature rise. Hydration Strategy: There is only one water fountain, and it’s located outside the gaming rooms. I highly recommend bringing your own bottle so you don't have to keep pausing your session to trek out for a drink. Pro-Tip: Wear moisture-wicking clothes and bring a big bottle of water! Even with the heat, the games are so addictive that you’ll want to stay as long as possible.

Jhenelle was absolutely awesome guiding us through the games and making sure we understood how everything worked. Her energy and encouragement made the experience even more fun. Humma also helped create such an amazing atmosphere and ensured we had a fantastic time from start to finish. Aero was incredibly welcoming and took the time to walk us through the games as well, which we really appreciated. Michelle gave us that extra push and motivation to go for the win prize, which made the whole experience even more exciting. Overall, it was an incredible first experience at Activate. The team truly made it memorable, and we can’t wait to come back. Definitely the first of many visits!

We went on New Years Day 2026, and had an absolutely fantastic time. It was fairly busy, as was to be expected, however we got a lot of games in in our 75 minute time slot. My six year old and I had never been, so we definitely had to learn a few games, but him and I will definitely be going back as often as we can. For $30/person for the 75 minute period, the value is quite good. The rooms were clean (as clean as we could tell in a dark environment), everything we played worked just fine, no technical issues nor anything broken. We're both looking forward to climbing the leaderboard and having blast after blast.

Mich was super helpful and provided great customer service. It was my first time here and I had sooo much fun. I want to come again, and if you come again it won’t feel the same because there is so much different games to play!!!

My son celebrated his 11th birthday here today!!! He and his friends had an amazing time. The staff we kind, friendly and were never very far ( always around checking in)
