Mooney's Bay Playground (Giver)

This playground is fantastic — full of unique and different play items that keep kids of all ages entertained, so it’s never boring! There’s parking available (a parking ticket to be purchased until 6 PM, free after 6 PM), and it’s right next to a beautiful beach where you can enjoy a picnic at the nearby tables. There aren’t many benches nearby, and there are a few trip hazards to watch out for, but the uniqueness of the play structures still makes it a great spot for a fun afternoon or a relaxing evening with the family.

Great place to come swim, play and workout. Year round festivals and events happen here, parking can be impossible but the neighbouring buildings across the street have parking but you might get a ticket, so park well.

This is an extensive playground with elements for kids from toddler age to 13 years old. The swings are very small and only appropriate for smaller children. There is no large slide, but one large climbing structure makes this playground better for older kids also. Generally, it's not a well designed playground. Elements are separated by too much space, reducing how much the children end up interacting. Many of the elements seem more decorative than facilitating active play. The elements also don't have a cohesive theme. There isn't really any shade. Benchs and picnic tables are notably lacking around the playground, leaving parents loitering uncomfortably. There is some bike parking. Groups of trash and recycling bins are placed so close together it seems ridiculous. There are 10 sets of 3 within a 1 minute walk of the playground!

All the family could possibly need and more! 50+ different kids play structures, a beautiful beach, lots of large trees for shade, picnic tables, washrooms. Note there are 2 parking areas and one is much closer to the beach so if that's your plan go to that parking lot! This park was built to commemorate Canada's 150th. No wonder it's so awesome, play structures for all ages from infant to teenager.

Nice place for spending your day, specially if you have kids. The playground is cool and nice designed near the beach. 2 different parking lots. Not clean washrooms, bring your own sanitizer.
