INBLACK Escape Room - North York

It was so much fun! The “MY HOME” room was immersive and engaging, with the difficulty being just right for a mixed level group of escapees. The staff were very friendly and patient, being very thorough about safety precautions. We’ll definitely be back!

My friends and I recently did this escape room and were really disappointed, especially considering it cost $60 per person. With a group our size, that’s a significant amount of money, and we honestly left feeling like we didn’t get the experience we paid for. We’ve done many escape rooms before that were much better designed and significantly cheaper. Most of the puzzles in this room relied heavily on basic locks, and the technology felt outdated. At the beginning we were told there were audio issues and that someone was supposed to come fix them. If the room had known technical problems, it really shouldn’t have been available to book. The puzzles were also not very intuitive. We kept having to go back to old clues because it wasn’t clear what applied to which puzzle, which made the experience feel frustrating rather than fun. The set design also felt rushed and not very polished. Another issue was the temperature, it was quite warm inside, which made it uncomfortable. On top of that, staff were frequently telling us what to do over the walkie-talkie with instructions like “now you can leave the room” or “close the door for the next room to work,” which completely broke the immersion. We also spent too much time watching a TV that was mostly showing static images with subtitles, which didn’t add much to the experience. Finally, at the end they offer small items like pens or keychains in exchange for writing a positive review. Because of that, it wasn’t surprising to see so many good reviews. Overall, considering how much our group paid, this experience felt very underwhelming and not worth the price.

We did the Witness room and as an avid escape room player who’s been doing this for years, making it a mission to always do an escape when I travel, this was my favourite! It integrated old school with modern which was an amazing concept. Not to mention, the staff was really attentive and super engaging. You can tell they love what they do which made the experience worth the while. It gave us such an amazing impression of the company as whole, we’re excited to try the other escape rooms in potentially all locations and share this wonderful experience with our friends and family. HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend

Just did InBlack Escape Room and it was honestly one of the best escape rooms I’ve ever experienced. The set design and atmosphere were next level, super immersive from the second we walked in. The puzzles were clever, challenging, and actually made you think without being frustrating. But the real highlight was the live actor… WOW. That added a whole different level of intensity and realism. It felt like we were in a movie. The actor was professional, believable, and made the experience way more exciting and unpredictable. The staff was also friendly and organized, and everything felt high quality. If you’re looking for an escape room that’s not just puzzles but a full experience, this is the one. Highly recommend, especially if you like horror/thriller vibes. We’re definitely coming back.

Just finished My Home, the actor was so good at everything. The actions and the sounds and lighting - they worked out perfectly to scare me. The puzzles it self were easy, which was intended as this was beginner friendly. Would recommend!
