INBLACK Escape Room - Unionville

The price for the 4th floor escape room was a bit too much even with live actors involved. Here are my reasons: The atmosphere itself is excellent. However - the puzzles themselves are too underwhelming to the point, majority of the players including myself were not as engaging in the escape room game, meaning we were pretty much standing in the dark half of the time, doing nothing while others attempts to figure things out. In addition, the story/plot in 4th floor has a massive hole in it. (Not spoiling). On top of that, the assistant on the radio kept interrupting us which breaks the immersion. So while I do appreciate the assistance, I'd rather keep solving/looking around to figure out. Only give assistance when players ask for it in the radio. I'd be happy to put at least 4/5 stars review. So that's why the price are not worth the experience and it's star rating is 3/5. The staff are super friendly and informative. So that's a plus!

Upon entering the room it was realistic with parts in the game that were extremely scary. I would recommend a bigger group to complete the tasks. At one point there was a solo mission that was probably was one of the scariest parts of the escape room. Our team played the 4th floor which was not too challenging but we really liked the fact that we had walkies to ask for assistance when needed. The staff were friendly and we're never annoyed with having to respond to inquiries. I would recommend this place.

Decided to try this location after seeing all the great reviews, but unfortunately my experience was pretty disappointing. We did the “Game Over” room and while the concept itself was interesting, a large portion of the game was spent sitting at a computer reading dialogue and interacting with the screen. It didn’t really feel like a traditional escape room experience with hands on puzzles, movement, exploration, and teamwork. There was a bit more interaction during the second half, but it only lasted for a short part of the game. Overall, I found the room pretty boring, which is honestly not something I ever thought I’d say about an escape room. For $50 per person, I expected more. The staff were friendly but based on this room alone, I personally wouldn’t recommend it. I can’t speak on the other rooms, as this was my first time at this location.

Game Played: The 4th Floor The production design was amazing. It was very scary and very creative. I definitely enjoyed. In a large group it will definitely be even more exciting to hear / see everyone’s reaction. I would definitely come back!

This haunted house was honestly better than I expected. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was intense, with great lighting, sound effects, and detailed sets. The actors were very professional and stayed in character the whole time, which made the experience feel real instead of just relying on cheap jump scares. It was scary but still fun and well-paced. You can tell a lot of effort went into the design and overall experience. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who enjoys haunted houses or wants a fun and thrilling night with friends.
