A friend suggested we try this café in June because of their pistachio croissants, and wow!!! We were both blown away! Beyond the excellent pastries and drinks, May just has a cute, welcoming atmosphere, and this made me return again and again. The pistachio croissant is consistently heavenly and the cupcakes are flavours you won't find elsewhere. My favourite is the ube coconut. The ube cheesecake cookie is another favourite! And if you're looking for something savoury, the beef turnover is delicious. The matcha is also the best you will find in Hamilton!

We were in Hamilton visiting some old friends and stopped in to this lovely cafe. It is cozy inside and everything was delicious. We had both beef and chicken banh mi, six different kinds of cookies (had to try them all!), and a few cupcakes. The cookies had an incredible soft and chewy texture, and really unique flavours. We enjoyed all of them, but if I had to pick a favourite cookie, personally it would be between the ube cheesecake and the salted egg. My husband is a fan of matcha, and really liked the mango matcha cookie. Matcha baked goods often don't actually have much matcha flavour, but this cookie really did. The kids devoured the cupcakes (and raved about them) so while I didn't personally get to try them all, the one I did taste had an amazing ube flavour and even the texture of the cake was almost yam-like. So good. The owners were wonderful. We'll definitely be back the next time we're in the area!

You know the coffee is good when it comes from someone who doesn't like coffee, but Vietnamese coffee hits different. I'd love to try the banh mi here as well but can't due to dietary restrictions, so coffee it is. This shop is super cute and very nicely decorated. It's a family business run by a very lovely couple that we enjoyed talking to. I tried the coconut coffee as it was my favourite when I was in Vietnam. We loved it and ended up ordering 3 more for the rest of the group. My mom who is also not a coffee drinker enjoyed it. Next, we tried another one of their drinks with peach and it was nice to see that it was made with fresh peaches. That was also so delicious!

I had the pleasure of trying both the Lemongrass Beef Bánh Mì, the Cold Cut Bánh Mì, and a cup of classic Vietnamese Coffee, and I have to say — this was a flavor-packed experience worth repeating. 🥖 Lemongrass Beef Bánh Mì The lemongrass beef was incredibly aromatic and tender, with just the right amount of char and caramelization. It had that signature sweet-savory balance you’d expect from well-marinated Vietnamese grilled meat. The baguette was fresh — crusty on the outside, soft on the inside — and held everything together beautifully without getting soggy. The pickled carrots and daikon added a bright tang, and the fresh cilantro and chili gave it a vibrant kick. This sandwich was bold, flavorful, and satisfying. Cold Cut Bánh Mì A more traditional take, this one had layers of Vietnamese deli meats (like chả lụa and head cheese), rich pâté, and creamy mayo. What stood out here was the contrast — the richness of the meats paired with the crunch and acidity of the pickled vegetables. It was balanced, hearty, and deeply nostalgic if you grew up eating classic bánh mì. ☕ Vietnamese Coffee (Cà Phê Sữa Đá) Rich, strong, and unapologetically bold. The dark roast coffee was intense but smoothed out beautifully by the sweetened condensed milk. Served over ice, it was refreshing yet energizing. Perfect with the sandwiches — the bitterness cut through the richness of the meats and added a lovely contrast. ⭐ Overall: This was a standout Vietnamese lunch — flavorful, well-balanced, and true to its roots. Whether you’re into bold grilled meats or traditional cold cuts, there’s something here for every bánh mì lover. And don’t skip the coffee — it’s the ideal companion.

Very friendly. Very fresh. GREAT Coffee. The desserts are specially baked. I would highly recommend a sandwich to take away and try. I had the traditional banh mi. Light, fresh and yet very filling. Tons of great flavour. Good portion size.
