Donut Monster

Such a cute place to visit!! We had the mocha cold brew (I believe that is what it was called). So good! Only mocha item. We also grabbed a donut with a pear filling and then a very large apple fritter. These donuts are very fresh and really good. The one was $4 and the other $4.50. For being as large and fresh as they were, I didn’t find the prices too bad as a treat. We were visiting from out of town. If find ourselves back in this area, I would definitely come back!

Very tasty donuts. You will be a monster for them all. Some unique flavours year round or seasonal ones. Open your mind and try them. The Kimchi Fritter is awesome. The Coconut cream is one of the best of its kind. There is a seasonal Dill Pickle one too. So good. Well decorated inside. Clean facility. Clean washrooms. Very friendly staff. Free WiFi. Walk up window available. No credit card surcharge. Bicycle racks out front.

Ive been coming to Donut Monster for years, since it opened and really would like this establishment to become a regular place to meet up with friends over a coffee and occasionally donut. Unfortunately my most recent visit, two weeks ago, was not the best. My drip coffee was good but my friend’s cappuccino was terrible. She didn’t want to complain about it so she had a few sips and threw the rest away! I had ordered three donuts to take home to my kids. I asked for a box once I saw the server put them into three separate paper bags. When I asked for a box she said that it would cost $1. I then asked if you have to order six donuts a box and she said no, the minimum order is 4 for a box. Incredously, I said that if I had know that, I would have ordered four since I have to walk home in the crazy slippery snow; we just had a major snowstorm two days prior. No apology, no smiles, just awkward silence. So I said I didn’t want them. Still no apology. The other server who passed me my coffee was much better with customers. I’m hoping that the servers get some good customer service training.

Favourite place for coffee and donuts. The place is beautiful with lots of natural light and unique decoration, and Locke st is a beautiful street to explore.

LOVE this place so much. The donuts are incredible. So rich and tasty and the flavours are unmatched. 10/10 highly recommend trying this place if you love donuts and want to have a tasty treat. Great for hosting and big gatherings! Affordable too.
