What parents are saying
With over 72,000,000+ views on my Google reviews as a Level 9 expert Google Reviewer, I always aim to give clear and honest feedback. We came to Chocolate Tales for a birthday and did the pizza making class, and I loved it from beginning to end. The instructor is knowledgeable and detailed, and the assistant was helpful and attentive. The pizza turned out really good, and you can tell he knows what he’s doing. They also provided sparkling drinks with no alcohol, along with water and tea. The class keeps you busy, but that is part of the experience and worth it. One downside was some of the pizzas were burnt a bit. Maybe they can keep a closer eye on them. I appreciated that he sent a follow up email with step by step instructions so we can make it again at home. They offer many different classes, and we are already thinking about going back for the bread making or taco class. There is also a small shop to browse while you wait. A fun and unique experience, definitely give it a try
We attended an Easter themed chocolate decorating class here and had an absolutely wonderful time! We decorated truffles, created a personalized chocolate bar, and crafted a gold-dusted Easter egg filled with delicious chocolate treats —it was such a fun and creative experience from start to finish. The class was well-paced, and the main instructor was amazing, knowledgeable, personable, and made us feel welcome and confident, no matter their skill level. We left with beautiful treats. Highly recommend their classes for a fun date or an outing with friends. We will definitely be looking at other classes they offer!
If I could give 10 stars, I would. In an age where you get less and less and everything costs more and more, Chocolate Tales gives you an incredible bang for your buck. If you are thinking of booking a workshop, do not hesitate. I have done two workshops now - a chocolate bar making workshop and last night, sourdough. We learned how to make sourdough starter (so you can make endless loaves!), made a loaf to take home, make another dough that ready to go the next day and made another dough that takes another couple of days. AND... made granola with discard starter. [See my photos.] If you want to learn about chocolate or sourdough or any of the classes, you will not be disappointed. David is SO organized and has your time entirely filled up but takes the time to answer any question. You learn a lot but also make a fabulous product to take home. HIGHLY, HIGHLY recommended.
We had a wonderful class taught by David. All the steps of making Sourdough with all tricks of the trade. He taught us so much is 3hours. Next his chocolate class!
A fantastic experience yet again! We love this place. We’ve taken our kids to the chocolate making class a number of times and my husband and I have also enjoyed a couple of additional classes - pasta and sourdough bread. So delicious! The price is definitely worth it. The staff is always very welcoming and really cater to the little ones. If you do go to this location I strongly discourage you from going to the Indian restaurant located in the same lot Jayalakshmi South Indian. The owner is incredibly rude and even outside of business hours he monitors the lot for people parking in his designated spots. Although outside of business hours it would seem appropriate to park in vacant spots be aware this business owner does not care. We were going to go in for food after our wonderful experience at chocolate tales but instead we came back to a parking ticket $55 as the restaurant owner called by-law despite the fact that his business was just opening for the day (when we were leaving) an otherwise empty. When we asked him why he simply stated because he can, he pays for the spots and he doesn’t need our business. Very ignorant. When Indian restaurants are a dime a dozen, I’d save your money and drive somewhere that treats you like you matter and has the foresight to realize they are losing out on potential customers when they treat people with disrespect and a lack of regard for decency.
