Pinnacle Indoor Rock Climbing

Update 2024-03-20: a whole new bouldering section built upstairs... Premium climbing! 👌 My wife Sejin and I first came to this gym exactly 1 year ago (2022-11-13), curious and excited to try climbing for the first time, and immediately fell in love. Not just with climbing, which is just one of the best mental/physical exercises you can do, but with the staff and community as a whole. We're always looking forward to spending time with other climbers, figuring out problems together, and just having a good time! The routesetting here is fantastic. The setters here always take into consideration the wide spectrum of skills in the community and look for feedback from climbers about grading and quality. I just can't say enough about this gym! Gord, Nina, Jamie, and each of the staff have built such a warm and welcoming environment for everyone to take part. This is just the first year of many for us. We'll be coming here until we're old(er) and grey(er). A++!

Great climbing gym! Some of the tallest walls in durham, includes top rope/lead, bouldering and a qualified speed climbing wall. Friendly small knit community with plenty of programs for kids and adults. Currently expanding the climbing area to include a cave and full secondary level dedicated to bouldering. My kids love the classes and are inspired to tryout for their competitive team. I was able to rekindle my love of climbing and now have family outings to Pinnacle.

Very small interior with limited routes for both belaying and bouldering. Bouldering routes felt less well designed than other gyms. This would be okay if it was more reasonably priced, but if was quite expensive compared to other (bigger and better) gyms. Staff was kind.

Such a wonderful space and kind people here! Rock climbing was something new to me and with our friend's suggestion I discovered this place last month. I'm already hooked! Ultimate 5 star staff who make us feel comfortable from the moment we walk through the door. By just looking at other seasoned climbers, and talking with other members of Pinnacle, I want to be a member of this gym for a long time.

Come for a workout usually and it’s a pretty decent gym. Belay options aren’t as many but nice. Came by today and while the website and google says they are open until 8, it’s currently 6 and NO ONE is here. Doors are locked and no one answered the phone. Pretty disappointing and upsetting since I drove all the way out here based off their info. They should really update the website and google if hours have changed. Especially since there is no poster or sign on front doors stating hours. Another family came by while I tried to open the doors and they were just as shocked to learn there was no one here. Went off google and it was their first time here.
