Treetop Trekking Barrie at Horseshoe Valley

Treetop Trekking Barrie at Horseshoe Valley was such a great activity for the kids and me! We loved zipping through the trees and tackling the aerial courses—there are different levels, so everyone felt challenged but safe. The guides were fantastic: patient, upbeat, and super focused on safety (harness checks were constant). The setting in the forest is gorgeous, and time honestly flew by. Pro tips: book ahead, wear closed-toe shoes, and bring light gloves and water. It’s the perfect mix of adventure and confidence-building for families—we left grinning and already planning our next visit.

Brilliant! Lots of choices for ease or difficulty. I got a little motion sick on the walkways which would have been eliminated with a gravol. Great complex where you can swim, play golf and ski and tube in the winter. We will definitely be back. Staff were great and facilities are fantastic.

My boyfriend and I had an absolute blast here. The courses were fun, challenging, and a great length. You can take breaks, and 3 hours FLEW by for us. We loved that, aside from a quick training introduction, we were fully independent and able to choose our own adventure at our own pace. There were lots of people in our group, and we didn’t have to wait in line or get stuck behind anyone (pro tip, try to go first for the intro part). We are tired but have a great new memory to cherish. The staff were knowledgeable, kind, and helpful as well. Thanks!

It was such a fun and adventurous experience! The instructors and staff were incredibly kind. Be sure to make a reservation during the fall season—tree trekking among the tall, vibrant autumn trees is amazing. There are five different levels, and we completed three (Green, Red, and Blue).

Great adventure for the kids and adults. My 10 yr old son was bombed he couldn't do the 12 and up course but still enjoyed the 3 options he had. My 6 year old felt that his discovery course was a bit easy for him. The group of 12 and up did the 3 intermediate courses and than the advanced zip line course (purple) which was a lot of fun. Managing to do all the courses in 3 hours is dependent on your pace and also the pace of people in front of you. The staff was very nice and helpful. On our next visit to Canada we will consider doing the membership to hop around more tree tops.
