Bowlerama Barrie

I was a regular here for months going once to twice a week, and I have seen the quality of the alley deteriorate. as a kid the quality was far better, but the lack of maintenance/replacement has made it hardly worth the visit. the prices have seen a large increase over the years without increase of quality. the pin-setters are almost always dysfunctional, the machine are from the 60's-70's. having gone around twenty times recently, not a single time have we had the lane not need to be fixed during a game which was paid for. your time costs money regardless of if you are waiting for your lane to be serviced mid-game. I purchased a ball from another store to get more into the game, recently after half a game, a mechanical issue caused the ball, which is around a month, old significant damage. due to mechanical issues, we had to change lanes twice during this visit. after presenting the damage to the staff, there was nothing said, other than that it was unfortunate. the ball returns, which don't receive enough attention, are filthy and cause my ball to turn black after every game, this is not easy to clean/remove, this as well as random gunk that sticks to the ball. this lack of care has caused bowling to go downhill as a sport, which is highly disappointing. please check local pricing to save your money.

I just joined a 10-pin seniors' league today. Tom was welcoming. The whole league was welcoming. I was in desperate need of social interaction. And having an afternoon league is really good. I live in Alliston and I wouldn't want to drive at night in the winter. I'm glad I've chosen to resurrect this old hobby. It has been 20 years since I last bowled. And they make really good food here!!!

Great time had by all. Great place to have a charity fundraiser or company team building.

Super friendly staff and such a great experience. It was my first time bowling after 12 years. I had such a fun I like that everything looks so vintage it reminds me of the 90’s. Great times

. I have been bowling here for at minimum 3 months and have gone at least twice a week or more up until this point. The staff (not inherently rude, some are quite nice actually) are invisible most of the time that there is a problem which happens at least once EVERY SINGLE TIME I HAVE GONE and take at least a few minutes to fix, the worst part is that the clock never stops running so your time (time = dollars) just flies on by while you stand there helplessly as the clock still counts up how much you owe as no one comes to help. Not only that, walking up the the service desk is not help ether as no one is there most of the time. Worst of it all, my newest ball (which is not even 3 weeks old) has taken lots of damage to the poorly maintain machines at this place, which have not been the case anywhere else. I have addressed this issue on multiple occasion to the staff, and who I would presume to be the owner of this ally, to not my surprise, not one of those issues have been resolved. The best part is, when showing what there machines were doing to my ball, not one of them really cared to help the situation. as per usual, when something messes up with lane, my friend and I are moved to another (which typically breaks as well). In all my time of being at this bowling ally, about 40 - 50 minutes have been wasted on them not being around to fix the broken machine. I just feel like after how much we have given this place with there jacked prices, we would get a little respect and curtsy. It is a great shame as this is the closest place to home, but will probably be better in the long run to drive somewhere else
