Caniche French Bakery

This is such a lovely cafe and I can’t wait to go back! Their egg salad brioche is delicious and reasonably priced. They even had a halal salami sandwhich today! Definitely recommend this spot it’s super cute and cozy

Tried Caniche French Bakery today while visiting family in Ancaster. It is such a cute spot. We bought a couple different baked goods and some fresh bread. All was good, but I am leaving this review specifically to shout out the almond croissant!! They were crispy on the outside, you could see SO many layers from proper laminating on the inside. Delicious! Now I want to try their other croissants and croissant sandwiches haha!! Staff was also patient and helpful as we asked lots of questions (including allergy awareness).

I bought a pecan pie, but when I opened it at home, I realized it was too burnt. Since the next day was Thanksgiving, I couldn’t go back to exchange it. It probably would have been delicious if the burnt flavor hadn’t been so strong. I really hope to try a properly made pecan pie.

Caniche is a good bakery! I very much enjoyed my sandwich, quiche, cheesecake brownie, and croissant. Also their iced vanilla latte (they make the vanilla syrup in house) was very tasty. I did find the food prices to be on the highest end, when compared to other bakery’s throughout Hamilton. However, I think for their location on the main drag of Ancaster, the food prices are appropriate for a wealthier customer base.

Love Caniche!! Great coffee and baked goods. They did my wedding cakes back in January and I still have people asking me about them.
